About the movie
Max Bishop is the darkly comic story of an unemployed hitman who finds work as a janitor at the local elementary school. In the midst of the strange world in which Max finds himself, he meets Lucy, a 10-year-old student who presents an opportunity that could bring Max back into the world of contract killing.
Max Bishop stars Chris Charais, Iris Seifert, Katie Troske and was written/directed by Jack Beranek.

Max Bishop was influenced by many cinematic voices. From the comedic wide shot, long take style of Jacques Tati, to the deadpan visuals of Aki Kaurismaki, the precise framing of Jean-Pierre Melville and the worlds of David Lynch, Irving Lerner and the Zucker Brothers.
